Memorial Ceremony - 9/11 - 2021

We stand guard, so that they may rest in peace.

This year, the Dauntless Cadets participated in a vigil to honor those lost in 9/11 and the 13 soldiers who lost their lives during the American evacuation of Afghanistan. Before the vigil, a pair of boots and pictures of those lost were placed at the base of the Old Main flagpole.

After seeing the pictures of this Vigil, Jack Dempsey (COL, Ret), c ’70, wrote: Please pass on my note of thanks to the Dauntless cadets for remembering our fallen heroes. I can't tell you how proud I was when I saw the memorial around the "PMC" flagpole and the realization that your cadets are carrying on a tradition of respect for our fallen comrades in arms.
